I notice that there are 6 pages on the the "Flyer Forums"  about the "New SkyDemon Release" ?

It even includes the info from Tim that the next official release will be on the 10th February.

It seems odd that the date has not been mentioned on this forum, as far as I can see.

Why do we get so little feedback & discussion here, on what should be the definitive SkyDemon forum?
Come on guys, apart from a few regulars, everyone has gone "walkabout"

Off course, I may have overlooked the fact that everybody is completely happy & has no comment to make

Yes, maybe, but let's be fair about it Max, if the 6 pages are from ex PocketFMS users [or even current PFMS users] trying to get SD to look like PFMS and be all things to all flyers, then personally, I am not interested [and I hope Tim isn't either!].

Far better to have a quality app that has a neat and layered menu without a load of clutter across the screen you are using to see where your plane is going.

Keep up the good work Tim, but don't pander to the whims of everyone, keep SD uncomplicated and easy to use but I do agree with the point made, that you could have let us know the date of the full release on this forum first. BTW dead chuffed with the beta, no bugs so far, hope to fly with it this weekend.

So who can help me then. I have been downloading the beta versions and but now experiencing problems with the Navigon 8410



The first problem I have is that the virtual radar and everything else connecter with the small window on the main page is not there apart from the blue background. The box in instruments options is ticked.



Also if I go into the GPS setup / satellites, although SD is working I am unable to see any satellites and the small satellite aerial which should be green when it is up and running stays red



Could both problems be connected. I did remove SD from the Navigon to load a beta version onto to it I guess I may have done the wrong thing here. Any ideas please.



I have now reverted to1.4.4.26597 but still have the same problem



I also had a problem with SD on my HTC but I think that was not enough memory just got back from France skiing and the HTC kept crashing hopefully do to the amount of pictures I was taking. Now I have removed them it appears to be ok. Fingers crossed.



I did try what you suggested David but did not help.



Any ideas anyone.



Also I was playing with the flight plan on the beta version (which I have removed from the PC) I wanted how far it would let me go, I put in this ridicules flight plan and it sent it. On the first click of the mouse. Panic. But I see now that the team have addressed some of this.

Looks like we were so concerned with getting the press release out to the right people, we forgot to post it on our own forum! How embarrassing.

Pete, in a flightplan window, it was our assumption that the user would think a button called "Submit Plan" would submit the plan when clicked. In response to your accidental submission of a plan when seeing "how far it would let you go" we have added some text above that tells the user that the button will submit the plan. My guess with regards to your GPS problem would be that either the port or baud rate is set wrong.
